Summary
CVE-2023-41894 is a vulnerability affecting Home Assistant, an open-source home automation system. The issue involves the webhook component, which can be triggered via the `*.ui.nabu.casa` URL without authentication, even when marked as only accessible from the local network. This vulnerability is facilitated by the SniTun proxy, which alters the source address to 127.0.0.1 on public URL requests, forwarding them to the local Home Assistant. This vulnerability has been resolved in version 2023.9.0, and users are urged to upgrade as soon as possible. At present, there are no known workarounds for this issue.
