The mission is to produce intelligence on a range of cyber and geopolitical threats that reduces risk for clients, enables tangible outcomes, and prevents business disruption. Coverage areas include research on state-sponsored threat groups; financially-motivated threat actors on the darknet and criminal underground; newly emerging malware and attacker infrastructure; strategic geopolitics; and influence operations.

Insikt Group’s Advanced Cybercrimes & Engagements team focuses on cybercrimes such as hacking, fraud, ransomware, financial crimes involving digital currency and the means and methods in which individual criminals and organizations use to perform these activities.

Insikt Group’s Strategic & Persistent Threats team works to understand their operational infrastructure and tooling, tradecraft, and motivations - whether it is for economic or national security-related espionage, or prepositioning for future action.
Assessments, Periodicals, and Executive Support
Recorded Future’s Insikt Group examines trends in malware evolution, high-risk vulnerabilities, and region- or industry-based victimology to assist threat hunters and security operations center (SOC) teams in strengthening their security posture.
