Summary
CVE-2022-29464 is a vulnerability that affects certain WSO2 products, including WSO2 API Manager, WSO2 Identity Server, WSO2 Identity Server Analytics, WSO2 Identity Server as Key Manager, WSO2 Enterprise Integrator, WSO2 Open Banking AM, and WSO2 Open Banking KM. The vulnerability allows for unrestricted file upload, which can lead to remote code execution. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by using a /fileupload endpoint with a Content-Disposition directory traversal sequence to access a directory under the web root. To remediate this vulnerability, organizations should update the affected products to versions above the vulnerable ones. This vulnerability poses a high danger to organizations as it can allow attackers to execute arbitrary code on the affected systems and potentially gain unauthorized access or control over them.
