Summary

CVE-2024-32650 is a vulnerability in Rustls, a TLS library written in Rust. The vulnerability allows an attacker to cause an infinite loop in the `rustls::ConnectionCommon::complete_io` function by sending a `close_notify` message immediately after the `client_hello` message. This vulnerability affects Rustls versions prior to 0.23.5, 0.22.4, and 0.21.11 which have fixed the issue. The potential danger of this vulnerability lies in the fact that it can lead to denial of service (DoS) attacks on servers using Rustls, impacting the availability of services provided by organizations utilizing the affected library.
