CVE-2024-29808

Summary

CVE-2024-29808 is a Cross Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the image_id parameter of the editimage_bwg action in admin-ajax.php. An attacker can exploit this issue by injecting arbitrary JavaScript code into responses where the image_id parameter is embedded within an existing JavaScript context. Successful exploitation requires the attacker to target an authenticated user with permissions to access this component. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, allowing attackers to steal sensitive information, perform actions on behalf of the user, or install malware.
