Summary
CVE-2024-26146 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting Rack, a modular Ruby web server interface. Maliciously crafted headers, specifically those marked as "Accept" or "Forwarded," can cause header parsing in Rack to take an excessively long time. This issue may result in a denial of service condition, making the affected Rack application unresponsive. Ruby versions 3.2 and above come with mitigations against this vulnerability, making Rack applications using these versions resilient. The vulnerability has been patched in Rack's versions 2.0.9.4, 2.1.4.4, 2.2.8.1, and 3.0.9.1.
