Summary

CVE-2024-2252 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Droit Elementor Addons plugin for WordPress, versions up to and including 3.1.5. The issue lies in insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes, particularly URLs, used in the plugin's widgets. This flaw enables authenticated attackers with contributor-level access and above to inject malicious scripts into pages, which will execute whenever a user visits an affected page. The vulnerability poses a significant threat, as an attacker could steal sensitive information or take control of the user's account.
