Summary

CVE-2024-2123 is a vulnerability affecting the Ultimate Member – User Profile, Registration, Login, Member Directory, Content Restriction & Membership Plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts through several parameters, leading to Stored Cross-Site Scripting. The vulnerability exists in all versions of the plugin up to and including 2.8.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. When a user accesses an injected page, the injected web scripts will execute. The base severity of this vulnerability is rated as HIGH with a score of 7.2 out of 10, posing a potential danger to organizations using the affected plugin. To remediate this vulnerability, users should update to the latest version of the Ultimate Member plugin as soon as possible.
