Summary

CVE-2024-1985 is a vulnerability found in the Simple Membership plugin for WordPress. It affects all versions up to and including 4.4.2. The vulnerability allows unauthenticated attackers to exploit the 'Display Name' parameter, injecting arbitrary web scripts that execute when a user accesses an injected page. Successful exploitation requires social engineering, as the attacker needs the user to log in with the injected payload for execution. The impact of this vulnerability is limited due to these requirements.
