Summary

CVE-2024-1510 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Shortcodes Ultimate plugin for WordPress, specifically the su_tooltip shortcode. This issue, present in all versions up to and including 7.0.2, stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes and tags. As a result, authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions or higher can inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. Upon accessing an injected page, these scripts will execute, potentially leading to unauthorized actions or information disclosure.
