CVE-2023-5314 is a vulnerability affecting the WP EXtra plugin for WordPress. This issue allows authenticated attackers, including subscribers, to gain unauthorized access to restricted functionality within the plugin. Specifically, the 'test-email' section of the register() function, present in versions 6.2 and below, lacks necessary capability checks. As a result, attackers can send emails with arbitrary content to any email address from the affected site's mail server.
