Summary

CVE-2023-50720 is a vulnerability in XWiki Platform, versions 14.10.15, 15.5.2, and 15.7-rc-1, which allows the disclosure of user email addresses through the Solr-based search feature, even when obfuscation is enabled. This vulnerability can be exploited by searching for `objcontent:email*` using XWiki's regular search interface. The issue has been addressed in XWiki versions 14.10.15, 15.5.2, and 15.7RC1 by not indexing email address properties when obfuscation is enabled. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability. The potential danger to an organization includes the exposure of sensitive user information and potential targeted attacks using the obtained email addresses.
