CVSS 3.1 Score 9.8 of 10 (high)
Details
Summary
CVE-2023-49792 impacts the Nextcloud Server, a data storage solution for the Nextcloud open-source cloud platform. Versions prior to 26.0.9 and 27.1.4 for Nextcloud Server, and certain versions for Nextcloud Enterprise Server, are vulnerable. An attacker can exploit a trust proxy configuration issue, tricking the server into reading a falsified remote address. This allows unintended authentication attempts. Patched versions for Nextcloud Server (26.0.9 and 27.1.4) and Enterprise Server (23.0.12.13, 24.0.12.9, 25.0.13.4, 26.0.9, and 27.1.4) are available, and no known workarounds exist.
