Summary

CVE-2023-45662 is a vulnerability in the stb_image library, affecting the product tK3bd1. When certain conditions are met, such as setting `stbi_set_flip_vertically_on_load` to `TRUE` and `req_comp` to an incorrect value, a crafted image file can trigger an out-of-bounds read in the `memcpy` function. This occurs because the calculated `bytes_per_row` does not match the actual dimensions of the image array. The vulnerability has a base severity of MEDIUM with a CVSS score of 6.5 and poses a potential danger to organizations as it allows for unauthorized access to sensitive information with low confidentiality impact. No user interaction or privileges are required for exploitation, making it accessible over a network. To remediate this vulnerability, users should update their stb_image library to a patched version provided by the developer.
