Summary

CVE-2023-44392 is a vulnerability affecting Garden, a tool for Kubernetes development and testing. Versions 0.13.17 and 0.12.65 of Garden have a dependency on the cryo library, which has an insecure implementation of deserialization, making it vulnerable to code injection. The vulnerability allows an attacker with access to the Kubernetes cluster to store malicious objects in the `ConfigMap`, which can lead to remote code execution on the user's machine when cryo deserializes the object. To remediate this vulnerability, users should update to a version of Garden that is not affected by this issue. This vulnerability poses a high danger to organizations as it can allow attackers to execute arbitrary code, potentially leading to unauthorized access, data breaches, or disruption of services within the affected environment.
