Summary
CVE-2023-43520 is a memory corruption vulnerability affecting wireless Access Points (APs) and Station (STA) devices. The issue arises when the AP includes the TID (Terminal Identifier) in the link mapping Information Element (IE) of beacons, which can cause the STA to corrupt memory when processing the beacon TID to link mapping IE. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial-of-service condition on the affected device. This issue may lead to potential security risks and network disruptions. It is recommended to apply patches or updates released by vendors to mitigate this vulnerability.
