Summary

CVE-2023-41938 is a newly disclosed cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability that affects the Jenkins Ivy Plugin version 2.5 and earlier. This issue permits unauthorized users to delete disabled modules within the Jenkins environment, potentially leading to data loss or unintended changes. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by tricking a user into clicking a malicious link or form submission, causing the targeted action to be executed on behalf of the victim. Upgrading to a non-vulnerable version of the Jenkins Ivy Plugin is strongly recommended to mitigate this risk.
