Summary

CVE-2023-41935 is a vulnerability affecting the Jenkins Azure AD Plugin version 396.v86ce29279947 and earlier, excluding 378.380.v545b_1154b_3fb. This issue arises from the plugin's usage of a non-constant time comparison function during CSRF protection nonce validation. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by applying statistical methods to obtain a valid nonce, gaining unauthorized access to Jenkins instances. This poses a significant risk as Jenkins is a widely-used automation server, and the Azure AD Plugin is commonly employed for authentication and authorization. It is recommended that affected organizations upgrade to a patched version of the plugin as soon as possible to mitigate the risk of this vulnerability.
