Summary
CVE-2023-41329 is a vulnerability in WireMock, a tool for mocking HTTP services. It affects various versions of wiremock-jre8, wiremock-jre8-standalone, wiremock, and wiremock-standalone. The vulnerability is related to the proxy mode of WireMock, which can be protected by network restrictions using domain names. However, these configurations are vulnerable to DNS rebinding attacks due to a defect in the logic. Exploiting this vulnerability requires control over a DNS service and has high execution complexity and limited impact. The issue has been addressed in version 2.35.1 of wiremock-jre8 and wiremock-jre8-standalone, version 3.0.3 of wiremock and wiremock-standalone, as well as version 2.6.1 of WireMock Webhook Extensions.
