Summary

CVE-2023-36632 is a vulnerability in the legacy email.utils.parseaddr function in Python through 3.11.4. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by providing a crafted argument, which can trigger a "RecursionError: maximum recursion depth exceeded while calling a Python object." This vulnerability affects various products, including 'r-ztLH', 'jEv0yn', 'U6dIZR', and 'avXCPa'. To remediate this issue, applications should use the email.parser.BytesParser or email.parser.Parser class instead of the vulnerable function.
