Summary
CVE-2023-36031 is a newly disclosed Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that affects Microsoft Dynamics 365 installations in an on-premises environment. Maliciously crafted scripts can be injected into the affected system, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of vulnerable users. This can lead to data theft, user account compromise, or other unintended consequences. Microsoft has released a patch to address this issue, and it is strongly recommended that organizations using on-premises Dynamics 365 installations apply the patch as soon as possible to mitigate the risk.
