CVE-2023-34448
CVSS 3.1 Score 7.2 of 10 (high)
Details
Summary
CVE-2023-34448 is a new vulnerability affecting the Grav content management system. Despite the previous patch for CVE-2022-2073, which addressed a template injection issue, Grav's Twig extension remained susceptible to remote code execution. The cause was the lack of validation on built-in functions exposed by Twig's Core Extension, enabling attackers to invoke unsafe functions. Version 1.74.2 of Grav introduces essential security improvements by overriding the `map()` and `reduce()` filter functions in `Grav/Common/Twig/Extension/GravExtension.php` to validate arguments passed to these functions.
