Details
Summary
CVE-2023-3247 is a vulnerability affecting PHP versions 8.0.*, 8.1.*, and 8.2.* before specific releases. This issue pertains to SOAP HTTP Digest Authentication, where the random value generator is not rigorously checked for failure. Instead, it employs a narrower range of values than required. If the random value generation fails, an attacker can gain unauthorized access to 31 bits of uninitialized memory from the client to the server. Moreover, this vulnerability facilitates a malicious server in guessing the client's nonce, posing a significant security risk.
