Summary

CVE-2023-26156 is a vulnerability found in versions of the package chromedriver before 119.0.1. This vulnerability allows for command injection when setting the chromedriver.path to an arbitrary system binary. It affects multiple products, including bZ55B9, bZ55B8, bZ55B_, and others. The potential danger of this vulnerability is unauthorized access and potentially malicious actions on the host system. To remediate this vulnerability, users should update to version 119.0.1 or later of chromedriver. It is worth noting that for exploitation to occur, the attacker must have access to the system running the vulnerable chromedriver library and success depends on permissions and privileges of the process running chromedriver.
