Summary
CVE-2023-25822 is a vulnerability affecting the ReportPortal AI-powered test automation platform. Specifically, versions prior to 5.10.0 of the `com.epam.reportportal:service-api` module are affected. This vulnerability causes the ReportPortal database to become unstable and reporting to almost fully stop when the test_item.path field exceeds the allowable `ltree` field type indexing limit (path length >= 120). The issue was resolved in version 5.10.0 of the module, where the maximum number of nested elements was programmatically limited. To remediate this vulnerability, users can delete data with long paths and reindex both indexes (path_gist_idx and path_idx). Organizations utilizing ReportPortal are at risk of unstable database performance and halted reporting until the vulnerability is addressed.
