CVE-2023-25822
CVSS 3.1 Score 6.5 of 10 (medium)
Details
Summary
CVE-2023-25822 affects the ReportPortal test automation platform before version 5.10.0 of the `com.epam.reportportal:service-api` module. The vulnerability causes the ReportPortal database to become unstable and reporting to almost stop when the `test_item.path` field length exceeds the `ltree` field type indexing limit, approximately 120 characters. This issue results in a recursive nesting problem for nested steps. Although REINDEX INDEX path_gist_idx and path_idx methods were attempted, they did not resolve the problem. The issue was addressed in version 5.10.0 of the `com.epam.reportportal:service-api` module by limiting the maximum number of nested elements. A workaround involves deleting data with long paths and reindexing both indexes to restore stability and proper functionality for ReportPortal.
