Summary

CVE-2023-20269 is a vulnerability in the remote access VPN feature of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software. It affects multiple products, including Qtqrmq, QtqsG-, and sW38aE. The vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to conduct a brute force attack or an authenticated attacker to establish a clientless SSL VPN session with an unauthorized user. It is caused by improper separation of authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) between the remote access VPN feature and other features. To remediate this vulnerability, users are advised to upgrade to the latest version of Cisco ASA Software or Cisco FTD Software. This vulnerability poses a high danger to organizations as it could lead to unauthorized access and compromise sensitive information.
