Summary
CVE-2023-20265 is a vulnerability in the web-based management interface of certain Cisco IP Phones. It allows an authenticated, remote attacker to conduct a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user of the interface on an affected device. The vulnerability arises from insufficient validation of user-supplied input. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid credentials to access the web-based management interface. The potential danger includes the execution of arbitrary script code in the context of the affected interface and access to sensitive browser-based information. The affected products include tl96Jk, tl96Jl, hAicBr, tl96Ji, and tl96Jj.
