Details
Summary
CVE-2023-1514 is a vulnerability affecting the RTU500 Scripting interface. It allows attackers to spoof the identity of a RTU500 device by intercepting messages initiated via the interface, due to the client's failure to validate certificate parameters. The vulnerability puts trust in the authenticity of remote services at risk, as the attacker could present a fraudulent certificate to impersonate a legitimate device. This issue can lead to unauthorized access and potential data breaches. It is recommended that users upgrade to the latest version of the interface and properly configure certificate validation settings to mitigate this threat.
