Summary

CVE-2000-0239 is a buffer overflow vulnerability affecting the MERCUR WebView WebMail server. An attacker can exploit this issue by sending a specially crafted GET request with an excessively long mail_user parameter. The server fails to handle the large input, resulting in a buffer overflow and a subsequent denial of service. This vulnerability could be exploited remotely, potentially causing disruptions to email services.
