Summary

An attacker can exploit this issue by manipulating the HELP parameter in a specially crafted request, thereby allowing unauthorized access to read arbitrary .htm files on the targeted system. This can potentially lead to the exposure of sensitive information. The vulnerability arises due to insufficient input validation, allowing the attacker to traverse directories using the ".." (dot dot) technique. Organizations running the affected software are advised to apply patches or workarounds promptly to mitigate this risk.
