Summary
CVE-1999-0457 is a vulnerability affecting the Linux ftpwatch program. This issue grants local users the ability to elevate their privileges to root level, by exploiting a buffer overflow weakness in the software. Successful attacks could lead to complete system compromise, allowing an attacker to gain full control over the vulnerable system.
