Summary
CVE-2024-6388 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting the Ubuntu Advantage Desktop Daemon. Marco Trevisan uncovered that prior to version 1.12, this software unsecuredly transmits the Pro token in plaintext to unprivileged users, posing a significant risk of unauthorized access and privilege escalation. The impact is particularly concerning, as the Pro token is used for authentication and authorization purposes. System administrators are urged to upgrade to the latest version to mitigate this vulnerability.
