Summary
CVE-2024-6368 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting LabVantage LIMS 2017. This issue, identified as VDB-269801, is rated as problematic and can lead to cross-site scripting (XSS). The vulnerability lies in the processing of the file /labvantage/rc?command=page by the POST Request Handler component. Manipulation of the argument param1 triggers the XSS attack, which can be executed remotely. Although the vendor was notified early, they have not yet responded or issued a patch. This vulnerability is now publicly known and can be exploited.
