Summary
CVE-2024-6303 is a vulnerability affecting Conduit's Client-Server API in versions below 0.7.0. This issue involves missing authorization, enabling attackers to manipulate aliases in rooms. By removing and adding aliases at will, they can gain privilege escalation, taking control of rooms and performing potentially harmful actions. These actions can include resetting passwords, signing JSON with the server's key, and deactivating users.
