Details
Summary
CVE-2024-6299 is a newly disclosed vulnerability affecting Conduit software. The issue lies in the lack of consideration given to key expiry when validating signatures. This oversight enables an attacker who has gained control of an expired key to forge requests, impersonating the remote server. Additionally, PDUs (Protocol Data Units) with timestamps beyond the key's expiration date can be accepted, further increasing the risk. This vulnerability can lead to serious security consequences, including unauthorized access and data breaches. It is crucial for organizations using Conduit to apply patches or updates as soon as they become available to mitigate this threat.
