Summary
CVE-2024-6287 is a Local Execution vulnerability affecting Renesas arm-trusted-firmware. The issue arises from an Incorrect Calculation in the code responsible for checking image overlaps during loading. This oversight allows an attacker to bypass memory range restrictions, overwrite an already loaded image partially or completely, and ultimately execute arbitrary code. The consequence of this vulnerability is the bypass of secure boot, putting the system's integrity at risk.
