Summary
CVE-2024-6283 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the DethemeKit For Elementor plugin for WordPress. This issue, present in all versions up to 2.1.5, allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject malicious scripts. The vulnerability stems from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user-supplied attributes in the De Gallery widget's URL parameter. This means that attackers can inject and execute arbitrary web scripts, posing a significant security risk. By exploiting this flaw, attackers can manipulate pages and execute harmful code, putting sensitive data at risk and potentially leading to serious consequences.
