Summary
CVE-2024-6189 is a newly disclosed critical vulnerability affecting the Tenda A301 device with firmware version 15.13.08.12. The issue lies in the fromSetWirelessRepeat function of the /goform/WifiExtraSet file, which can be exploited through manipulation of the wpapsk_crypto argument. This results in a stack-based buffer overflow, enabling remote attackers to launch exploits. The vulnerability identifier is VDB-26916, and the exploit has been made public, increasing the risk for potential attacks. Sadly, the vendor was not responsive to early disclosure attempts.
