Summary

CVE-2024-5953 is a denial-of-service vulnerability identified in the 389-ds-base LDAP server. An authenticated user can exploit this issue by attempting to log in with a malformed hash password. Upon successful login attempt, the server experiences a denial-of-service condition. This vulnerability poses a risk to the availability of the LDAP server and should be addressed promptly through updates or patches provided by the vendor.
