Summary

CVE-2024-5871 is a critical vulnerability affecting the WooCommerce - Social Login plugin for WordPress. Maliciously crafted input can be deserializes through the 'woo_slg_verify' parameter, enabling unauthenticated attackers to inject a PHP Object. Though no Pop chain has been discovered in this specific software, the presence of one via an additional plugin or theme could permit the attacker to execute code, delete arbitrary files, or access sensitive data. Updates to the plugin beyond version 2.6.2 are recommended to mitigate this risk.
