Summary

CVE-2024-5684 is a cyber vulnerability that affects multiple products, specifically the ones with the IDs 'wVIeAZ', 'wVIeAY', and 'wVSHqS'. It is caused by a faulty implementation of the JWT-library, which can be exploited by an attacker with access to the private network or local access to the Ethernet-Interface. This allows them to bypass password authentication to the web configuration interface and gain full access as a regular user. However, they will not have developer or admin rights. The vulnerability arises when the JWT-library is configured to accept "none"-algorithms, which results in insecure JWT being passed by the server. An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to bypass the authentication mechanism. The risk score for this vulnerability is 65, with a base severity of medium and a base score of 6.3 according to [email protected].
