Summary
CVE-2024-5640 is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the Prime Slider – Addons For Elementor plugin for WordPress. This issue, impacting versions up to 3.14.7 of the plugin, is caused by insufficient sanitization and output escaping of the 'id' attribute within the Pacific widget. Authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher can exploit this flaw to inject arbitrary web scripts, which execute when users visit injected pages. This vulnerability poses a significant risk and requires immediate patching to prevent attacks.
