Summary
CVE-2024-5274 is a type confusion vulnerability affecting Google Chrome versions prior to 125.0.6422.112. This issue, classified as high severity by Chromium security team, allows a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside a sandbox by exploiting a flaw in V8 engine through a specially crafted HTML page. By manipulating the code execution flow, an attacker can bypass the sandbox restrictions and gain unauthorized access to sensitive data or even take control of the system.
