Summary
CVE-2024-4243 is a critical vulnerability affecting the Tenda W9 1.0.0.7(4456) firmware. The function formwrlSSIDset in the file /goform/wifiSSIDset contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability, which can be triggered by manipulating the ssidIndex argument. This issue allows remote attackers to exploit the vulnerability, and the exploit code has been disclosed to the public. VDB-262134 is the identifier assigned to this vulnerability, and unfortunately, the vendor has not responded to early disclosure attempts.
