Summary

CVE-2024-3988 is a vulnerability that affects the Sina Extension for Elementor plugin for WordPress, specifically the Sina Fancy Text Widget. The vulnerability exists in all versions up to and including 3.5.2, and it is categorized as a Stored Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability. This vulnerability occurs due to inadequate input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes, allowing authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages. As a result, whenever a user accesses an injected page, the injected web scripts will execute. The risk score for this vulnerability is 30, with a base severity of MEDIUM.
