Summary
CVE-2024-3905 is a critical vulnerability affecting Tenda AC500 2.0.1.9(1307) devices. The issue lies in the R7WebsSecurityHandler function of /goform/execCommand, which can be exploited through manipulation of the password argument to trigger a stack-based buffer overflow. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely and the exploit has already been disclosed to the public. The identifier VDB-261141 has been assigned to this issue. Regrettably, the vendor was notified but did not respond to the disclosure.
