Summary

CVE-2024-3818 is a vulnerability found in the Essential Blocks – Page Builder Gutenberg Blocks, Patterns & Templates plugin for WordPress. This vulnerability affects all versions up to and including 4.5.9. The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary web scripts into pages using the plugin's "Social Icons" block. Insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes are the causes of this vulnerability. When a user accesses an injected page, the injected web scripts will execute. The risk score for this vulnerability is 25, with a base severity of MEDIUM and a base score of 5.4 according to [email protected].
