Summary

CVE-2024-37153 is a cyber vulnerability that affects Evmos, the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) Hub on the Cosmos Network. The vulnerability arises when utilizing Safe, a contract, for liquid staking. It occurs when there is a local state change and an ICS20 transfer in the same function, using the contract's balance as the sender parameter in an ICS20 transfer with the ICS20 precompile. This bug allows contracts to double the supply of Evmos after each transaction, resembling an "infinite money glitch." The issue has been resolved in versions equal to or greater than V18.1.0. This vulnerability poses a high risk with a base severity rating of 7.5 according to [email protected].
