Summary
CVE-2024-36371 is a newly disclosed vulnerability in JetBrains TeamCity versions prior to 2023.05.6 and 2023.11.5. This issue allows an attacker to inject Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) code into the Commit status publisher. By exploiting this vulnerability, an attacker could execute malicious scripts in the browser of users who view the affected TeamCity project's build status page. The consequences could include data theft, account takeover, and other forms of unauthorized access. It is essential to upgrade to a patched version of TeamCity to mitigate this risk.
