Summary
CVE-2024-35184 is a vulnerability affecting Paperless-ngx, a document management system. In versions prior to 2.8.6 and starting with 2.5.0, the system fails to properly restrict remote user authentication, granting API access even if it has been explicitly disabled. This issue poses a significant risk, as unauthorized users could gain access to sensitive document information through the API. Version 2.8.6 includes a patch to resolve this vulnerability.
